It’s that time of year again when the gutters get blocked from leaves and moss.
A customer’s gutter was blocked due to the down pipe being blocked from the leaves and the moss.
The down pipe needed rodding and unblocking after which the guttering could then be cleared.
It’s surprising how much moss and grit can gather in the guttering - but another job finished and a very happy customer!
A customer rang who had an issue with his leaking porch roof - typical in this autumn rainy weather.
I removed the concrete tiled roof that was letting in the water. I then restructured a ply flat roof with a slope for the water to run off onto the garage guttering
Finally added two layers of roofing felt .
Result - one happy customer!
Customer had a bulkhead shelf made of timber frame and plasterboard in a bedroom which was originally there to allow for headroom in the stairs below.
Customer requested this to reduced in height to allow bedroom furniture to sit over it.
I cut and lowered the height, restructured and reboarded, followed by plaster.
Result - another happy customer!
A customer called me as he had ordered a new climbing frame but wanted some modifications to it.
I also recomended some changes to make the climbing frame secure so no kiddies could topple over and fall out.
The frame only had feather edge board all the way round at a low level which didnt look safe at all. I added an 18mm thick gravel board at a higher level to become a handrail for the children. I also cut down and modified a wooden ladder, adding on handles at the top and putting in a post to support the ladder.
Result - a very happy family all round!
A customer rang who whanted to section off their retail space and make extra rooms.

The stud partitioning had to be fitted through a suspended ceiling to get a fixing. Double doors were added as well a frame made out of soft wood timber.

A customer enquired to see if I could fit a new ceramic sink into the existing worktop. She wanted to remove the old steel sink and replace it iwith a bigger ceramic sink.
No problem - I enlargened the sink space and dropped the sink in, knocking out the tap hole carefully to fit the new single basin mixer.
Result - one very happy customer and a gleaming new ceramic sink!
